Playwright Mindy Curtis to participate in a special talkback following the opening night performance of her new play The Great Plan of Happiness at JPAC on June 21!
Stage One is thrilled to announce that Playwright Mindy Curtis will join the cast and crew of The Great Plan of Happiness to participate in a talkback after the opening night performance this Friday, June 21 at 7:30 PM. The talkback will take place approximately five minutes after the show in the Gallery.

The Story: The Great Plan of Happiness focuses on Cassie, a Mormon woman, who visits her family in Highland, Utah after spending years living and working in Chicago. She discovers, while returning to her Mormon roots, the broad effects the religion places upon her family and the way they live their lives. Stage One’s June production will mark the world premiere of this original play written by Mindy Curtis.
About Mindy Curtis: Mindy Curtis has an extensive and varied theatrical background and is thrilled to add the role of playwright to that list. Mindy has taught, directed, choreographed, written, and produced theatre for various public schools, universities, and non-profit theatre companies throughout the country including the University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, Utah Children’s Theatre, Central Washington University, Idaho Repertory Theatre, Camp Waziyatah in Maine, The Janesville Performing Arts Center, University of Wisconsin-Rock County, and Madison Children’s Theatre. She holds her BFA in Theatre Education from Utah State University, MA in Theatre Production from Central Washington University, and PhD in Education from the University of Idaho. Mindy most recently has taught theatre at Brighton High School and is delighted be joining the Reasearch and Evaluation team in Granite School District this fall. She enjoys living in Utah with her talented husband, beautiful daughter and dashing little boy.
