The Story:  Charlie Fox has been offered a new script from a trendy movie-star client.  Bringing the script to his friend Bobby Gould, the newly appointed Head of Production at a major studio, both see the work as their ticket to the Big Time. Bobby wagers Charlie that he can seduce the temp/secretary, Karen. As a ruse, he gives her a novel by “some Eastern sissy” writer that needs a courtesy read before being dismissed out of hand. Karen slyly determines the novel, not the movie-star script, should be the company’s next film.

About the director: Michael Stalsberg is excited to be part of Stage One’s efforts to bring dramas to the Rock County area and to be directing such a challenging play. Memorable directing credits include: Stage One’s How I Learned to Drive by Paula Vogel and Proof by David Auburn, Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick… BOOM! and The Frogs by Burt Shevelove, Nathan Lane, and Stephen Sondheim for the Janesville Performing Arts Center. Area theatre affiliations include, Theatre Unlimited, Inc., Janesville Presents!, Janesville Schools, The JPAC Radio Players, JLT, as well as others.  Mike is the Technical Director of the Janesville Performing Arts Center and vice president of Stage One, Inc.
